This photograph was taken from the first floor of Parkes Leagues Club looking onto the attempt at the record for most people hitting a tennis ball on a racquet at one time. Parkes now holds the record with 772 people taking part, many coming from all over the Parkes Shire. The building in white and blue is the clock tower building, and everyone assembled is on Clarinda Street. The cross street is Browne Street.
